Siggi Henry

Siggi was born into a dentistry family in Germany where she lived her first 20 years. She then moved to Austria and spent five years studying there. It was there she met her Kiwi husband. She has lived in Hamilton most of the last 35 years with her husband and three children. She is passionate about health and environmental issues and is currently living on a lifestyle block in Hamilton City in a strawbale house.
Siggi is passionate about preventative medicine, understanding the importance of educating people about real food and nutrition

An active voice in the community, Siggi has lobbied local council and government on a number of issues. She is a volunteer and has run a number of local charitable organisations, including Nawton Playcentre, Parent’s Place, La Leche League and Homeschool Association.
Siggi has Diplomas in tourism and early childhood. With her husband, Siggi is a partner in a number of small businesses and has been running her own commercial social networking business for the last 12 years. She has also been a member of an international business network for 15 years. In addition to this, she has been a Hamilton City Councillor for one term.
